Udaipur travel FAQs

Our front desk can book boat rides, cars for sightseeing and day trips. See our rooms or ask us on WhatsApp.

How many days are enough for Udaipur?

Two full days cover the highlights — the City Palace, Lake Pichola, the ghats and Sajjangarh. Three to four days let you add a day trip to Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur and enjoy the city at a slower pace.

What is the best time to visit Udaipur?

October to March is the most comfortable, with pleasant days and cool nights. The monsoon (July to September) fills the lakes and turns the hills green. April to June is hot, but hotel rates are at their lowest.

Which is the best area to stay in Udaipur?

Stay close to Lake Pichola. Haridas Ji Ki Magri, where The Chronicles is, is quieter and greener than the crowded old city, yet within a short walk or auto ride of the ghats, City Palace and bazaars.

What are the best day trips from Udaipur?

Kumbhalgarh Fort (about 85 km) and the Ranakpur Jain temples (about 90 km) make a classic full-day trip. Chittorgarh Fort (about 115 km) and the temple towns of Nathdwara and Eklingji are also popular. Our front desk can arrange a car and driver.
